Chili's

For the dessert at Chili's I decided to try out the peanut butter molten. This was a chocolate cake with peanut butter that filled the inside. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and the hard chocolate covering on top of the ice cream. I thought that this was amazing since I am a huge peanut butter fan. This is something different to try out and I recommend on trying. This is in the top five easily.

The Chop House

I decided to go to the Chop House for dinner. Here I had the Caramel Fudge Cake for the dessert. It is a chocolate cake covered with a caramel topping. It was very good but also very sticky. So i would advise this dessert for someone that isn't worried about the caramel. It also comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel on the top of that also. I would say that this is pretty yummy.

Ruby Tuesday

This weekend I went and ate at Ruby Tuesday. Here I decided to try out the double chocolate cake. This is a very chocolaty dessert. It is even has to much chocolate for me. This is something I would only recommend if you absolutely love chocolate. It has a scoop of vanilla and strawberry. This is not on my top list though. I enjoy the chocolate but this one is just to much for me.

TGI Friday

This week I decided to eat at TGI Friday and I had the Oreo Madness. This was for the most part good. It is cookies and cream ice cream smashed between layer of Oreo cookie crust. To top it off it has caramel and fudge. This is starting to get difficult to rate a number one. I would have to say this would most likely be in the top five, but not my number one. 

Applebee's

This week I ate at Applebee's having the Lava Cookie for the dessert. This is not the first time I have had this dessert so it is rated as my number one. It comes with a large, warm chocolate chip cookie with chocolate oozing out of the middle. On the top it has vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup drizzled over the top. To top it off it also had whip topping, This is a dessert for people that love chocolate.

The Outback

Yesterday Nicole, Mike, and myself went and ate at the Outback Steakhouse. Nicole picked out the Cinnamon Oblivion for our desert. This was cream on the bottom, then whipped topping, topped with a strawberry, and carmel drizzled over it all. Around the ice cream was cinnamon apples and some type of cereal. I would not say that they rip you off either it was fairly tall and the strawberry was massive. Everyone of us enjoyed this desert and would get it again. I would have to rate this as my top choice of the deserts that I have tried so far. I would recommend this strongly to anyone that goes to the Outback.

Perkins

I went to Perkins Thursday night with my mom, sister, and nephew. We decided to try the Chocolate French Silk Pie. I thought this was amazing, my nephew seemed to really enjoy it also. My mom thought that it was to sweet for her to eat a lot. My sister liked it and I believe that she would get it again. I would describe it as a light, fluffy, creamy dessert. It has a layer of chocolate mousse on the bottom then a layer of whipped topping on the top. This would be rated probably second for me having Red Lobster as number one.

Millstone

Friday night I went to the Millstone to try their dessert. I went here with some friends of mine after a soccer game. Jordynn and I decided to try the Millstone cake, this is a different cake every day. Friday it was a strawberry upside down cake. This was a vanilla cake mix topped off with strawberries, served with vanilla ice cream. This dessert was given a good rating from Jordynn, Nine, and me. If you are craving a late night dessert and want it to be cheap and kind of a surprise I would recommend the Millstone cake. It was a cheap dessert and large enough for three of us to share and still have a little bit left over. So, if you decide to stop by the Millstone and try a dessert I hope you enjoy.

Guadalajara

Yesterday I went and ate at Guadalajara, this is one of my favorite places of all time. Yesterday, for the first time I tried fried ice cream. It's different because it has been deep fat fried so it gives the ice cream almost a breaded layer I would call it. They served it with 2 scoops of ice cream, whip topping, covered in chocolate syrup, with a cherry on the top. This was very good but I wouldn't say my favorite. I perfer more of the warm type of desserts I have come to figure out.

Ruby Tuesday

This weekend I went and ate at Ruby Tuesday with a friend. This time we had the New York Cheese Cake. This was very good I wouldn't rate it at the top though. It was topped off with blueberry's which I have never had but if you like cheese cake and blueberry's I would recommend this for you.

Olive Garden

I went to the Olive Garden this time to have a dessert. This Italian restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. It is a very place to go if you are on a date. This week I got the Warm Apple Crostata. 


This is very good, I usually do not like fruity type desserts but this was amazing. It has sliced apples, caramelized almond biscotti crumble baked atop a shortbread cookie crust. Served warm with vanilla ice cream. If you like a warmer dessert and apples I would recommend this. This is good even if you may think not apples, I say give it a try. 

Red Lobster

I went to Red Lobster with my boyfriend and tried out the warm lava chocolate chip cookie for a dessert. I found this to be extremely good. It is very full of chocolate so if you are a chocoholic I would recommend this to you.

This was a large chocolate cookie that had a chocolate filling inside. Once you break open the cookie the chocolate runs out like lave. On top of the cookie is vanilla ice cream to cool down the cookie some. To finish it off everything is drizzled by a chocolate syrup. If you try it I hope you enjoy. :D

Introduction

I will be testing out different desserts around the Black Hills area. This will go on for about 15 weeks so I will be trying out 15 different sit down restaurants. I will be not going alone so that there will be more than one persons input on the desserts. At the end of the 15 weeks I will post the top 5 favorite places.
